Bush Must Go

2004 / sensor controlled surveilance video, MAX - softVNS

Bush Must Go is a study of the unique polarization that has occurred in the United States leading up to the 2004 presidential election.

Working with MAX and softVNS software, an application was created that would detect whenever someone was standing in front of a "Bush Must Go" yard sign. When their presence was detected, a signal was sent to a hidden video camera to record their actions and expressions. Over a two month period, the various images portray the political dichotomy of our times articulated through glance, facial expression and hand gesture.
